"These sleeves are perfect for playing pickleball. Why I love them: 1) The sleeves stay up during and after play. 2) These sleeves do indeed cool the arms as I am playing for 3 hours. 3) Measurement is key when purchasing the sleeves for fit 4) As the instructions state: roll the material down, do not yeack or pull on the the material. This is important as it protects the sleeves ability to stay in place after each wear. 5) Colors that one is able to select from is by far a super plus to the customer. 6) The material is sliky smooth to the skin and you never feel hot ever! 7) The sleeves are so much better than sun screen becasue they protect the entire arm from exposure to sun. Sun screen wears off and I do not want a golden tan as this means skin is getting damage. Measure your arm to get the correct fit. When removing roll the material down and do not yank at the material and it will last forever. Best purchase ever.".......by Carla Hatfield
"Your arm sleeves are awesome! Wish I'd discovered them sooner! I suffer from Melanoma skin cancer and really shouldn't be exposed to the sun over any part of my body. Your sleeves allow me to work in the sun without worry. Can't say enough about how much they improve my lifestyle. I classify products in 2 ways: swear by and swear at. The first time I put on a pair, I knew I had a product to swear by. Can't go wrong with the price either."........by Pierre DuCharme
"These sleeves are obviously high quality - much better material than some I have had. While the material is heavier than some, the sleeves still feel equally as cool as any I have had. Fit is really good and it appears that the elasticity off the fabric will last a long time. Very happy with the purchase.".......by Bruce King
Why do pickleball players wear arm sleeves? Is there a particular benefit that arm sleeves provide, or do pickleball players wear arm sleeves just to look good on the court? In a word, yes.
Years ago, tennis star Milo Raonic sported a tennis arm sleeve. Why? Well initially, he wore the arm sleeve on his doctor's advisement to protect a skin rash that had developed on his arm from overexposure to the sun. It worked. Not only did the arm sleeve protect his skin from the sun, but he liked the feeling of compression, support, and coolness that the arm sleeve provided and it soon became a part of his competitive armor. Shortly after, many other tennis players followed his lead and began enjoying the benefits of UV compression arm sleeves which generally fall into three categories; skin protection, muscle support, and relief from tennis elbow.
Much like with tennis, pickleball players also benefit from arm sleeves in the same way.
Of all the sports that can wreak havoc on your arms, pickleball is a leading offender. Skin protection and exposure to the sun are obvious problems that pickleball players have to deal with. Perhaps less obvious and more problematic are the problems related to the types of arm movements and strokes that pickleball players make such as groundstrokes, volleys, and dinks, as well as the jarring and torquing effects of off-balanced shots and mis-hits.
If you are a pickleball player, you should definitely consider adding UV compression arm sleeves to your pickleball sports bag. They will protect your skin from the sun. They will support your muscles and elbows. And yes, they will even make you look stylish on the court!
